Cosmetic Tube Printing Process

When decoration department receives the tube sleeve, the printing process will be activated. The engineer feeds the tube sleeve into offset printing machine. The first step is to corona discharge on the tube surface. By discharging high volt pressure on the tube surface, it creates countless pores for printing inks to fill.

Secondly, the printing plate will be wiped by UV printing ink, and then the printing plate transfer the ink on to those countless pores of the tube body. After printing the tube body, the tube with ink move to UV light dryer to solidify the UV ink. Once the ink is solidified hour engineer coats the varnish around the tube body. The varnish can be glossy, matt, or semi matt depends on the customers.

Screen Printing & Foil Hot Stamping

Most customers require some more decoration after offset printing and coating varnish, they will choose silk screen printing and foil hot stamping on the cosmetic tube surface. The production of screen printing is similar to offset printing, however, the ink of screen printing is thicker than offset printing. Customers could feel the ink thickness on the tube surface.

Foil hot stamping is a great way to express your brand logos! According to a research, the fist region that the customers look as is brand logo. By putting a foil hot stamping of the brand’s logo, the products are more attractive than those without foil hot stamping. After offset printing, varnish coating, and screen printing on the tube sleeve, the engineer transfers the foil via a stamping plate which is heated by over 200 Celsius.
